| | "For India, the news is doubly good: in the new Tendulkar, they now have the world's most consummate accumulator, and in Sehwag at his decimating best, they have the old Tendulkar." - read this somewhere and made a lot of sense.

but - we could have waited another 2 overs atleast for God's consecutive double ton.

| | Guru and chela!!

It is very very hard for me to accept and state the fact, that off late, the indian team no longer relies and revolves around the Sachin factor.
The Natwest trophy final, the big win against Aus in sydney, this big one against pak in lahore - all the time team india has done it without sachin (ok ok all of u who have already started to rub their hands in glee, its not even been a year since the world cup :) dont forget his contribution there).

The way sehwag played yesterday, even the biggest sachin fan couldnt help but notice the similarity, aggression and intent like the sachin who opened first time in napier and tonked the kiwi bowling all around the park. His 190 odd in australia, the fighting 80 in the WC final, and this innings against pak convince u that he no longer is the "sachin wannabe" that world cricket knows him to be.

Laxman,Dravid, Ganguly,Yuvraj and sehwag...with this kind of backing, its for the first time in the 14 odd years of his one day career that sachin has the flexibility and the cushion to go out and play like the way he wants to, without having to think of what after i fall. This for me - is the biggest weapon that team india has right now.

Its a matter of time before the S factor makes a difference again. Till then lets enjoy what others have to offer.

| | With school getting over in about 2 months, am down to what every other person is - searching for jobs and trying to find a footing in the industry.
Naturally in this transient phase, things dont always go the way u want em to. There are ups and downs, the highs and the lows. In one such low phase of the day i met this friend of mine. One thing led to another and we ended up chatting for a couple of hours.
I was high by the time i walked out, dont remember all that he said , i remember talking bout how luck plays an important part in any quest, his reply went - "Luck is a force that takes care of minor details which bring transient but not absolute happiness ONLY after you have worked hard enough towards a goal".

I now believe in what he said, has changed my approach a little bit, maybe it might change urs too.
