Just read this on the mid-day website.

Not too long ago, Sachin Tendulkar was at his Apollo Bunder eatery discussing work and other official matters with photographer Atul Kasbekar. Any onlooker would have been able to tell it was a business lunch, but despite that, one enthusiastic fan interrupted. The man thrust his mobile phone into Sachin's hand and said, "My son can't believe you are sitting here in front of me. Can you have a word with him?"

Forget the fact that the request disrupted the meeting and was pushy. Let's even ignore that Sachin must get hundreds of requests for autographs in a week and after a point, it must get annoying. The master blaster didn't bat an eyelid; much less blow a fuse. He just had a brief, polite conversation with the stranger on the other end of the line...probably making the kid's day.

Clearly, Sachin's not short on virtues - patience and humility featuring high on the list.
