| | Zor lagaa ke ... haiyaa!!

This weekend was spent in doing "majdoorgiri" - literally. A very close friend moved to a new appartment, so the whole gang volunteered to be part of the big shift.

There were a few problems tho, the old house and the new one were about 40 miles away from each other, both the places were about 200 miles from our house, and people were coming from different places - so by the time everyone got together half the weekend was over. Then armed with a big van, and 4 cars we set out to accomplish the mission.

Packing-Unpacking, loading-unloading, eating - downloading (wink), taking down stuff and assembling them back was the order of the day. Low temperatures and windy conditions didnt really help our cause either.

If this was India, things would be very different, all you had to do was sit around and order people to do stuff the way u want it, furniture stores volunteer to come down with ur selected woodwork and assemble it for you. Cheap labor allows you to get a couple of people who can take down the old house and set up the new one for you (professionally at that).

The good part - all of us got to be together, and the feeling of being with a very close friend when she was entering a new phase in her life.

Still listening to Behind Blue Eyes - Limp B.
